That new study probably isn’t showing you anything new, no matter how the media or your favorite Expert hypes it up.
Human beings lived just fine, for a really long time, without armies of researchers scrying the optimal nutrient profiles of our food.
We’re surprisingly resilient as a species.
Here’s the kicker:
Even if there is something wrong, something worth fixing, panic never helps.
Losing your cool and giving into anger, fear, or despair never made anything better, and in many cases, they make things much worse than they have to be.
Some people are so addicted to the drama and the status games and the rush of their unchecked feelings that they can’t help but make any bad situation 100x worse with their reaction to it.
Understandable, maybe, and everybody can use a little grace, but blowing your top is not inevitable and definitely not helpful.
There’s few things we have any real control over in our lives.
Nothing is gained by wasting energy on an event that’s outside of your influence. You’re likely to make it worse than it has to be.
It’s amazing how many of these alleged crisis moments pass on their own if you simply acknowledge them and put your attention on those things you can control.
What goes for life’s big events goes for the tiny events in your day, including your workouts and your meals.
If you can control it, then do it. If you can’t, then let it go.
This is a skill, make no mistake about it. It requires practice and training, which is why so few people can demonstrate it.
If you’d like help getting control over getting control, that’s what I do.
Keeping attention where it belongs, taming unruly emotions, and getting yourself right inside so that you can get the body you want on the outside, that’s my specialty.
I’ve got a program, for the very few people who qualify, with training and hands-on guidance to get your ego and emotions out of the way and drill deep into the changes you want to make.
If you’re interested, message me and I’ll send you over the details.
